Who runs Khatwa
Khatwa is a step-rewards app for Qatar. You walk, your phone counts the steps, and those steps become points you can spend on offers from partner cafés, gyms and studios.
Khatwa is operated by [company name and registered address to be added — registration is in progress]. You can reach us at info@khatwa.club.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old.
The account is yours. Do not share your sign-in, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
How points work
Points come from the steps your phone has already counted. On the free plan every 100 steps earns one point, up to 100 points a day. On Khatwa Plus it is one point per 80 steps, up to 200 points a day.
Points for the day you are in are shown as pending and are added to your balance overnight.
Points expire 45 days after they are earned. Your balance is spent oldest first, so the points nearest expiry go first.
Points are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be sold, transferred or given to anyone else.
Only steps your phone or a connected device recorded count. Steps entered by hand earn nothing, and we may remove points and close an account if steps are faked.
Offers and vouchers
Buying an offer spends points and gives you a voucher. You show the voucher at the shop and their staff confirm it there.
A voucher lasts 30 days from the day you buy it, unless the offer says otherwise.
If you change your mind, an unused voucher can be handed back for its points within 24 hours of buying it. After that it is yours until it expires.
The offer is the shop’s, not ours. They decide what they give and they serve you; we handle the points and the voucher. If something goes wrong with what you received, speak to the shop first — and tell us too, because we choose who to partner with.
Offers can run out. Some have a limited number, and one can be withdrawn by the shop or by us at any time. That does not affect a voucher you already hold.
Khatwa Plus
Khatwa Plus is an optional paid subscription. It raises the earning rate and the daily cap, and allows more private groups.
It is not on sale yet. When it is, it will be billed through the App Store or Google Play, and you cancel it there rather than with us.
Groups
You can make a private group or join a public community. Members see each other’s shortened names and their step totals for today, this week and this month on a leaderboard. You can leave a group at any time.
Group chat is for encouragement, not for abuse, advertising or anything unlawful. You accept a short set of rules before you can post. We can remove a message, a member or a whole group that breaks them.
When we can close an account
We can suspend or close an account that fakes steps, abuses other people, tries to sell or transfer points, or breaks these terms in some other way. Where we can, we will tell you why.
You can close your own account at any time from the app. Doing so deletes your data, including your points. Points are not refundable in money.
What we do not promise
Khatwa depends on your phone’s step counting, on the shops we partner with, and on the internet. We cannot promise it is always available or always right, and we do not promise a particular offer will still be there tomorrow.
We are responsible for what the law says we are responsible for, and we do not try to sign that away. What we do not accept is responsibility for the goods or services a partner shop provides.
Changes
These terms will change as Khatwa grows. If a change matters to you — how points are earned, what they are worth, how long they last — we will tell you in the app before it takes effect rather than quietly updating this page.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Qatar, and the courts of Qatar deal with any dispute. [To be confirmed once the company is registered.]
